Concurrent Session 2: Leveling the Playing Field of Justice Access Through Innovative Technology and Collaboration
Over half a million Wisconsin residents face unresolved civil legal issues due to lack of knowledge or inability to afford an attorney. This justice gap perpetuates economic hardship and undermines family well-being. LIFT Wisconsin is addressing this gap through innovation, technology, and collaboration. Our Legal Tune Up tool aggregates data from multiple state public databases, helping individuals resolve issues like suspended driver’s licenses, clearing eviction and criminal records, and child support modifications—without needing an attorney. In this presentation, you’ll see how this tool provides actionable solutions, working toward a future of accessible, equitable justice.
