ACEs and Trauma-Informed Care – Resources for Educators
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are highly stressful negative events during childhood. Research shows connections between these events and poor social, behavioral and health outcomes throughout the lifespan. These outcomes have powerful negative impacts on individuals, families and communities. These pages contain selected resources for educators on the topics of ACEs. They also contain information on steps communities are taking to address this important health issue through Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and by building factors that help protect children from adversity.
